The Journey of Our Gemstones
Unearthing Value: How Our Gemstones Travel from Mine to Market
Crystals That Tell a Story — From the Earth to Your Hands
Our gemstones are more than just beautiful—they’re rich with history, energy, and purpose. With their vivid colours, intricate patterns, and powerful metaphysical properties, these natural wonders have captivated people for centuries. But what truly sets our crystals apart is the journey they take before reaching you.
As passionate sellers and crystal enthusiasts ourselves, we believe that knowing where your gemstones come from deepens your connection to them. Transparency is a cornerstone of our brand—it’s how we’ve earned the trust and loyalty of our customers over the years. That’s why we’re proud to walk you through the full journey of our gemstones—from the moment they’re unearthed to the moment they arrive in your hands.
We source our crystals from around the world, with the majority coming from regions renowned for their natural mineral wealth:
Australia – Opals
Brazil – Amethyst, Amazonite, Ametrine, Aventurine, Aquamarine, Carnelian, Citrine, Emerald, Fluorite, Hematite, Imperial Topaz, Morganite, Tourmaline, Quartz
India – Corundum, Jasper, Iolite, Moonstone, Ruby, Sapphire, Shiva Lingam, Sunstone
Mexico – Calcite, Amber, Black Onyx
Madagascar – Labradorite, Agate, Celestite
Pakistan – Aragonite, Himalayan Salt, Jade Nephrite
Canada - Thunder Bay Amethyst, Manitoba Floodway Crystal Rose, Sodalite, Black Mica, Vesuvianite Quebec
Most of our gemstones are mined through artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM)—a traditional, labor-intensive process carried out in remote areas using simple tools. ASM supports local communities and plays a crucial role in the global gemstone supply, providing livelihoods for countless families and small enterprises.
Once extracted, the mine run—the raw, unprocessed material—is separated from collector-grade minerals. Initial cleaning (typically through power or acid washing) reveals the natural clarity and texture of the stones. They’re then sorted by size and quality and packed using eco-conscious materials like recycled newsprint, cardboard, and steel drums to protect them during transit.
The gemstone trade involves many players—stone traders, cut stone dealers, suppliers, collectors, and importers—which can make traceability a challenge. That’s where our commitment to responsible sourcing comes in.
